Branding Images in the Canadian Rockies
Shooting lifestyle product images in the Canadian Rockies comes with some challenges. Mostly freezing our rockies off. Some considerations for these shots were to shoot the products with sweeping mountain backgrounds. This sometimes involved hiking out into the middle of a frozen lake. These backgrounds needed to be impactful but not overly distracting to the products.
Additionally, important considerations were framing of the shots to allow for marketing text and graphics to be placed in the space adjacent to the products. Different framing variations as well were needed for wide hero banners, square images for ecommerce photography and other social media advertising usage.
